.NET Technical Architect
 
Seeking a seasoned technical architect with strong proficiency in the .NET platform.  Candidates must have both implementation experience and broad knowledge of the .NET platform. 
 
The technical architect will work closely with both IT and business partners to design and implement solutions supporting our commercial banking businesses.  The technical architect will be well versed in the various components and APIs that make up the .NET platform.  They will able to explain design decisions to their IT peers and articulate the advantages and risks of their decisions to senior managers. 
 
The right candidate will work well in a small dynamic team environment and will be eager to expand his or her knowledge and programming skills.  The architect will work on project engagements, provide technical mentoring to team members, and actively participate in architecture reviews and strategic development activities.
 
Core Responsibilities:

  • Work with application teams from design to delivery, providing technical leadership, architectural direction, and hands-on implementation assistance
  • Design, document and implement .NET technology solutions
  • Explain application architecture decisions and their rationales to business and technical teams
  • Participate in the Architecture Review Board, providing technical guidance to strategic projects
  • Mentor software development teams, promote use of best practices and design patterns

 
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Depth and breadth of both knowledge and hands-on implementation experience with Microsoft .NET development platform and related tools
  • 10+ years of project experience performing software development, including 5+ years of .NET implementation experience and at least 2 years architecting .NET applications
  • Solid understanding of RDBMS including MS SQL Server or Oracle
  • Working ability to identify architecturally significant requirements and their ramifications
  • Expert knowledge of MVC, web architecture and related object oriented design patterns
  • History of client-orientation, ability to partner with a variety of teams to achieve goals
  • Brings clarity and progress to topics despite being given incomplete or conflicting requirements
  • Excellent team building, mentoring and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated success in developing people and knowledge capital
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly self-directed - Works well independently or on a team
  • Able to work effectively on multiple projects concurrently, when necessary
